Know the cost.
Plan beyond the credit.
Start with the ongoing bill. Then decide whether a promotional offer is a useful extra. These are selected examples, not a complete Vultr price list.

What do these resources mean for Joomla?
A 2 GB instance is an example to evaluate for a modest site or staging environment, not a promise of capacity. A 4 GB instance offers more memory, but your template, extensions, uncached requests and database workload decide whether it is enough. Test a copy of your actual website and monitor it.
A large monthly visitor number on its own cannot determine a server size. A cached public article and an active membership dashboard can place very different demands on the same server.
Costs to check before you sign up
- Recovery: instance backups plus an independent, consistent copy of Joomla’s files and database. Additional storage may be charged separately.
- Email: SMTP delivery and mailboxes may be separate services.
- Management: allow for your time or an administrator’s fee, plus any control-panel licence.
- Usage and taxes: confirm traffic allowances, overage charges, optional resources and any applicable tax at checkout.
- Leaving: check how to delete billable resources. Powering off a server does not necessarily stop billing.
A credit is a trial budget, not a lower ongoing price
Our promotional referral link is supplied as a $300 credit offer. Confirm the live offer, your eligibility, expiry and billable services on Vultr before signing up. Do not assume the credit lasts until you use it all, or that a payment method cannot be charged after it expires.
